Honduras is a country that is experiencing enormous change, largely due to becoming more and more popular as a tourist destination and the development that goes along with it. Hondurans are laid back as a race and aren’t hugely interested in world affairs or politics, they take everything is their stride including the increasing number of travelers to their country, however, many an interesting conversation can be overheard by those who are able to understand a little Spanish.
There is no shortage of reasons to visit Honduras, stunning national parks with unusual flora and fauna, a beautiful lake district, including Lago de Yojoa, Honduras largest lake and a holiday destination all on its own and white sand beaches with some great snorkeling just off the coast. Accommodations are great, inexpensive and both buying food and eating out is affordable.
Adventurous visitors to Honduras are now able to get a new perspective on its jungle from the zip lines and canopy tours that are becoming increasingly popular. There are a variety of lines available; some that are suitable for almost everybody whilst others are definitely only designed for the fit and the brave. Zippers can fly from tree to tree whilst surrounded by exotic wildlife or all the way down the mountains to end on the beach.
There are direct flights to Honduras available from Europe, North America, South America and the Caribbean.
